WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A NEW LEAD VOCALIST
Influences
Coldplay, REM, Sheryl Crow, Wilco, Ben Harper, the Flaming Lips, James Blunt, Train, Beck, Counting Crows, Jem, Jack Johnson, Radiohead, Tracy Chapman, Dido, Damien Rice, Death Cab for Cutie, U2, Third Eye Blind, Fiona Apple, KT Tunstall, etc. AND early 70's pop/rock/soul like 3 dog Night, America, Cat Stevens, War, Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, the Steve miller Band, Elton John, Tommy James, the Doobie Brothers, just to name a few.
Sounds Like
Adult alernative rock with a retro 70s twist. We are a truely unique sound with an easy-to-swollow spiritual message. Think Coldplay meets Fleetwood Mac, or maybe Norah Jones meets the Steve Miller Band, or America meets Sheryl Crow...you get the idea.
The Long Beach Magazine says: "If you are looking for rock music with a spiritual punch as well as a musical one, The Perfect Cry might be the perfect soundtrack to your journey."
OUR FIRST FULL-LENGTH ALBUM, "Touching Stars" can be purchased at CDbaby.com or downloaded at itunes. The album contains 12 original songs. These are catchy alt-rock anthems and ballads with a passionate and positive message. Our CD was nominated for Best Rock Album 2006 by the United Catholic Music and Video Association. We also have a song on the Spirit Wing Records' Compilation CD "Catholic Music 2007," and Popvox Record's Christmas 2007 Compilation. You can find us on many of the Catholic Music websites. Also, we were featured in a Spiritjuice podcast, Catholic Rockers podcast 31, as well as other podcasts.
The Perfect Cry plays EVERY SUNDAY at the 12:30 Contemporary Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Long Beach, CA. The Church is located at the corner of Willow and Palo Verde just off the 405. We have also done some coffee houses and clubs in Long Beach. We have been featured in the Long Beach Magazine, and Parish World Magazine. In 2008, we will be one of the featured new artists on the internationally syndicated Christian satelite radio show, "Into the Night."

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! The only reason we get to do what we love for a living is because of our fans. We love you and hope you have a safe, blessed holiday season.
