BIO:

In June 1999, drummer Steve Kilroy first started working with guitarist Dave Eve in London with 'Gods Little Joke'. Dave engineered tracks for the 2003 'Revolver Records' release 'A moment of Clarity' at Scream Studios in London. Dave co-wrote some of the songs as well as toured with the band and since then, the two have been working together on various projects, producing,writing and touring. Their combined credits are too extensive to list but both have been in signed bands (Steve in Tantric recent 08 tour) and Dave's resume as producer/engineer is endless and features bands like 'The Noisettes', 'Earodynamics' and Jules Hodgson of KMFDM. Dave also teaches music theory, does transcriptions and has written music for movies, television, and video game soundtracks. The two went on to join 'Australian Nirvana' and after nearly three years of touring they formed 'The Perfect Tool'.

After auditioning singers for months, and jamming with potential candidates, TPT has found a singer who really has it all. His name is Justin Shelgren and he blew away anyone else vying for the position. His voice is so close to Maynard's, during the audition Steve just started laughing out loud. He knew every song in the set and delivered a performance more like a seasoned pro than a 20 year old fresh out of high school. A true musician in every sense of the word, Justin is a pianist as well as a bassist and when you close your eyes, you would swear it was Maynard.

Finding a bassist proved too big a challenge for most everyone auditioning but when Steve contacted German native Kai Lemke, a mutual friend of both Dave and Steve, and realizing he was available and enthusiastic about the project, the search ended. Kai is what all bassists should aspire to be. Pioneering new ways of how to play the instrument as well as exploring old school treatment for repertoire. A musician who was brought up on a diet of heavy rock as well as Funk and Jazz, Kai’s been in major label bands such as ’Must’, signees to Wind Up Records in the US and up until recently Germany's Sub7even. He tours, teaches, and does session work throughout Europe. He is a true superman on bass, yet humble to the universal powers of great music.

When you come to see 'TpT the set list will feature songs from albums past and present, delivered in a powerful, intense way. The band delivers the sound and presence that made 'Tool' legendary. In addition, 'TpT' will stun the audience with eye popping production including some amazing video.
