The Perverted Hymns are a New York City based Punk 'n' Roll band. Front man, W.H. Willy: "We are more Fugazi than Dave Matthews. We are not high. We are aware. Many turn a blind eye to politics, mass communication crimes, and accept a submissive spoon-fed society, well honestly, F**k that Society! The Perverted Hymns will not sit idly by, we want to get involved: It's a Signal! Don't think we should be patient." The Perverted Hymns are making an attempt to bring back the heart and soul of the "rock tune". Their songs have the classical components of rock 'n' roll - powerful vocals, distorted guitars, heavy bass lines and pounding drums. Their sound is simple enough to be catchy yet complex in nature as their lyrics deal with serious subject matters which range from personal loss to warfare to political chaos. From their ballad-esque track, "Fly", to their more metal riff driven "Caught In The Fix", The Perverted Hymns are a reminder that great songs can still be produced from a standard four piece rock unit.
