"Imagine you’re a caveman. You got some paints. You fashioned some brushes out of mammoth hair and half of a pubis bone. You like to paint on the walls of your cave to depict what happened to you on the last hunt, how cold the winter is, how many hunters it takes to bring down a smilodon, etc.
Then this other caveman comes of age, comes over to borrow some of your paints, or maybe just some mammoth fat to boil down into paint and you think “Wow. This guy wants to learn a craft. Maybe I’ll give him a beginner’s lesson or two”. Halfway into your first lesson, the new caveman freakin’ blows your mind with his Krom-given talents. You can only surmise one thing: This guy, armed with the correct tools for the job and his own immaculate talents, can do anything.
That talented caveman is Pete Greenwood, his paint and brushes…a guitar and microphone, And you are still you. Blown away by his raw ability, skill, and passion for entertaining a crowd. Ain’t nobody say nothin’ dissin’ ‘bout Pete Greenwood. He’s the man. We could all learn a thing or two from him about music and showmanship from this native son of the Old Town School."
