Wow I didn't see the Ramones with the Cigaretz. Wish I had. I love the Cigaretz and have their album. The Ramones are still one of my all-tme favorite bands.
I often tell the story of the first of the many times I saw the Ramones - at The Pier in Raleigh in summer of 1979. Because I worked for two radio stations in Winston-Salem, I was able to get in early and talk to Johnny and Dee Dee (Joey was playing pinball). I even got to watch them do their sound check (Cretin Hop and more). Almost like a private concert.
I also saw the Go-Go's there in the summer of 1980. They were amazing!
