Who I'd like to meet: Clacton Pier has just be sold to new owners, who take over from the end of August.
As we are an independent promoter and sound company, we have to re negotiate a new contract with the new owners to continue using the venue.
We had been based on Clacton Pier for the last two years, and the summer season last year was not as we had hoped, although the outer season went really well for us, which is not what you would expect.
So this year we have returned to our usual business of promoting and supplying sound to out door event like festivals, this summer.
The new owners of Clacton Pier are not expect to let us know their intention for sometime, so we have arranging a handful of promotions this autumn in our local theatre, with a number of local acts/ bands. We fully intend to roll this type of show, out in other venues in south east of England. So we will be looking for venues that you might have in your area, to promote similar shows with acts/bands we have already worked with, as well as local band to you.
If you can help in offering any suitable venue, and acts/bands, I would be interested from hearing from any one who could help, drop us a message.

Hi guys! Long time no see! Just a couple of notes: we are looking forward to playing for you this month, same as always. 2: We have been busy recording an album which should be ready for release sometime May/June time. 3: We have changed our name from ACCESS DENIED to SYKAMORE to further suit our goals, our image and our overall sound, which has developed greatly since we begin (which is the main reason for the name change).
We'd be greatful if you can let as many people possible know before the gig we have with you. We have informed through our myspace and recent gigs, but being away from Clacton for so long, we are unsure word has spread.
Look forward to seeing you all again, and hope you can pass on the message to as many people as possible, and get them to pass it on and check us out too!
