Originally from Oxford circa 1986, the Pink Ponies have returned from the dead to the States to blow you. Away.
There last album, "Pinking of You" had the smash hits "Nomad of Desire", "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock", and of course, "Cool. Hot."
Unfortunately, the majority of The Pink Ponies died in a car accident in 1986 on thier first American tour right after they recorded several tracks from "Pinking of You" at Penn State University. Drugs, obviously, probably played a large part in the tragedy.
It is, however, fortunate for the world that those tracks, as well as many others, have been found in a cave suspiciously close to the Dead Sea Scrolls and Tupac's latest album. They are currently being remastered and are expected to be released by Christmas '06, a chilling 20 years since the accident.
Most of the Pink Ponies may be gone, but they will live forever through they're cool grooves, hot tones, and eerily insightful lyrics such as "Oh God/ Please put out the fire in my pants" , "I'll lick your face/ While I burn this place/ With the fire in my pants", and "I saw a bird/ It was nice/ I got some water/ You got some ice/ To make it Cool./ Hot./ Cool./ Hot."
