The Pirate Studio offers audiophile-quality recording and mixing services in Austin, Texas. Our exclusive studio is located in the Lake Travis area, just 30 minutes from downtown, away from traffic and noise.
Our Chief-Engineer Craig Lawrence has an eclectic approach to sound and is ready to infuse your tracks with sonic bliss.
The 'floating' control-room is based around an SSL AWS 900+ / Pro Tools HD2 setup, with modern and vintage gear, a comfy producer's section, and decoupled Tannoy mains. Finished with meticulous craftsmanship in an ancient nautical theme, in honor of the local laid-back boat culture.
The purpose-built 'floating' sound room has incredible acoustics, large windows for easy cues and a warm and pleasing color palette. Featuring Aviom digital headphones, 4 isolation booths, and a large mic collection, we can create an infinite variety of sonic textures to suit any style of music, within your timeline and budget, in a friendly and peaceful environment.
