We are an all-ages music and art collective in northern Humboldt County, CA. We book independent bands, hold workshops, and give kids of all ages something to do! We believe it is more important to be real than politically correct, but racism, sexism, homophobia, other discrimination is not welcome at the Placebo.
Most of our shows are currently at the Ink People [map], next to the Eureka Muni.
There is a $2 yearly membership required to attend our events. Its basically an agreement that while at our shows you wont do drugs, drink, or vandalize our venue or near by buildings.
If you're interested in being on the Placebo Board or just helping out we have open meetings at 5:30 pm every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. These are very laid back and you can always drop in just to see what it's like.
Bands and Musicians
If you want to play at The Placebo, fill out our booking request form at our website. It's really the only way to get a-hold of the people who can help you out. If you fill out the booking request form it goes to all the people who book shows for the Placebo. We can't always reply (we get a hundred+ requests a month) but we do read them. Thanks!

hey, we are trying to tour down there in a few weeks and still need
some shows, its kind of short notice but if there are any open dates to
be slated that we can fill we would be hyped. we are touring with two
other bands so its kind of a mash bash but thanks for the help and keep
doing what you do.
