Shows em hospitais psiquiátricos, rock com instrumentos de brinquedo e letras sarcásticas que cultuam o absurdo. Esta é a cara da The Playboys, banda pernambucana que atua na cena independente desde 1996. O som transita por vários estilos da história do rock, tendo uma maior ênfase no rock clássico dos anos 50 e no punk rock. Além disto, a The Playboys faz experimentações sonoras com instrumentos de brinquedo e no palco, realizam apresentações com alto teor de teatralidade.
Outra característica da banda é promover shows em lugares e situações inusitadas. A The Playboys organiza periodicamente o "Rock na Tamarineira" (festival de rock dentro do maior hospital psiquiátrico do Recife), já tocou no meio da rua e criou o palco 3 do Abril pro Rock ( palco clandestino montado em um stand da feira dentro do festival).
Nestes 10 anos de existência, a banda gravou quatro discos e tocou em diversos festivais do Nordeste como o MADA (RN), Festival de Inverno de Garanhuns (PE), Recbeat (PE) e PAN e PE no ROCK (PE). Em 2007, a The Playboys lançou o videoclipe Paulo André Não Me Ouve que foi premiado no Festival de Vídeos de Pernambuco e chegou a estar entre os 30 vídeos musicais mais vistos no youtube na primeira semana.

Shows is psychriatics hospitals, rock with toy musical instruments, sarcastics words and unabsurd cult. This is the face of The Playboys, the irreverent group from Pernambuco/ Brazil in the independent scene since 1996. The sound runs around many rock influences, but the principal one is the fifities and punk. Working also with the experimental sounds with unusual instruments like toys ones and attitudes on stage. The band realize gigs in no common places like Psychiatric Hospitals and in the street. Is responsable for the creation os 3rd stage on Abril pro Rock Festival, the biggest rock festival in Brazil, with a clandestine presents to the public inside the fest. On these 10 years, had recorded 4 demos and played in many importants festivals like MADA in Rio Grande do Norte State and Festival de Inverno in Pernambuco State. In 2007 was presented the clip called Paulo André não me Ouve, winner of Festival de Vídeos de Pernambuco and become one of 30 most seen video on Youtube.
