THANKS TO EVERYBODY WHO CAME TO SEE THE PLAYMATES IN OUR SHORT 18 MONTHS. WE HAD THE MOST FUN EVER BUT ITS TIME FOR NEW THINGS TO HAPPEN, AS NEIL YOUNG SAID ITS BETTER TO BURN OUT THAN TO FADE AWAY.

********************************************************************** A plethora of bands formed form the ex-members of the now defunct, yet mighty pseudo-gallic garage punkers LES FLAMES! - iForward Russia!, Whores Whores Whores, The Ivories to name a few. We have recruited the new venture of Mr Neil (aka Henri Les Flames) and Geoff Pushkin (aka Jean Claude Van Flames), now under the moniker of THE PLAYMATES alongside bassist George Riley and Guitarist Ali Valium. You might have already seen their utterly cheeky and downright filthy live show at the Moor Music Festival or many last-minute big gig supports around Leeds.
If you can imagine Les Flames!, but even more obnoxious, then you will start to understand where The Playmates stand musically. For us, it's utterly marvellous pop music that will definitely leave you feeling soiled, yet satisfied. They will have ther debut single 'Damn Good' coming out as part of the Super Sevens club's final wave of releases at the end of the year, followed by a fully fledged double A-side single at the start of 2006. This should be accompanied by a hideously huge tour of the UK, so lock up your daughters.

Thought we'd just let you know we've recently put up a buch of tracks from our forthcoming album. Have you heard them? Please let us know what you think!
And if you like them come check us live. We're playing all over the country. The tour dates are up on our page.
Charlie is Panther, and Panther is some mutant form of Charlie. Having recently supported The Gossip, Panther’s music is hard match of damaged soul, falsetto disco and broken synth fueled freakouts which is as addictive as it is challenging. This solo affair of Charlie Salas-Humara isn’t easily ignored for his unpredictable and energetic performances tainted with throbbing bass, minimalistic hooks and jittery dance routines. Panther’s influences run deep and take as much from Pop and R&B as Free Jazz and Punk.
Fluid and engaging, 7 Hertz fluctuate and mutate live before your very ears. incorporating all or none of the following instruments - basson, violin, voice, double bass, french horn, glockenspiel, clarinet, mandolin, trumpet - they improvise glorious pieces with total, beautiful spontaneity. With imaginations that rival those of Tom Waits and Stravinsky this is modern “classical” music that writhes and soothes - is what they say about themselves and I'd have to agree.
They think they're really funky, but I don't know what kind of funk it is. Spazmofunk? Funk-U-Like? Chevy Funk? JOHN SUTTERS AND JOHN NASH AND MATHEW MEGADICKO AND TOBY make up the band and quite frankly I find it hard to write something about them, suffice to say that there will be screaming bursts of funk piss generously applied to the walls of the P
Hilarious two piece free-noise instigators from NYC. Kevin and Matt. Together they make Mavin or Kett. Relentless mezmorizing drums and synths that anticipate each other. A free roaming cacophony of dense aural matter from which a storm brews and rhythms pour down, but in the end the sun shines through. http://www. myspace. com/talibam
Very creative and smashing lads who make nice challenging music. View their myspace to see why they are 'smashing'. http://www. myspace. com/stignoise
