Thank you everyone who participated in the Poetry Bomb April 19th! If you have stories or pictures you'd like to share, we'd be happy to post them. Thank You!
What is the Poetry Bomb?
The Poetry Bomb is a random act of poetry in celebration of National Poetry month.
How does it work?
On one day at one time, writers of poetry, or those simply willing to perform poetry from all over plan out poetry shows, or find locations to read to the public who may or may not normally hear poetry. For those performing alone, it is asked that you perform for a minimum of ten minutes. We then help to advertise those shows.
For those who don't write or read, any help is appreciated, from contacting the media, filming, photographing, promotion or simply enjoying one of the shows.
How do I get involved?
Once a year we post the annual date for the poetry bomb. If you'd like to be involved in that, simply pick a location that works best for you or a task you'd like to aid in and contact us either here, or at poetrybomb@gmail.com. If you arrange a show for this date, let us know and we'll add it to our advertisement, and provide fliers or other materials. If you need help arranging your own show, or would like to offer help arranging shows simply let us know, and we will either aid or direct you.
What if I want to have a localized Poetry Bomb on another date?
In that case, let us know in advance, and we'll be happy to advertise to list it on the page, and offer whatever aid we can.
If you already run a poetry show, and would like us to advertise your show, or would like to help us advertise the Poetry Bomb, please send us an email (poetrybomb@gmail.com) either with your show's information, or a Poetry Bomb flier request (please let us know what file format will work best for you)
