The Poker was formed around 2001.It was formed by the main voice for the poker, Gilbert in Kuching, Sarawak when he further study there.By first, it was called Poker-Face but then after he back to Sabah and further study in UMS, then the name was changed to The Poker. Basically, we play indie + power pop tune....we hope that BORNEO SCENE will arise and indie at its best!! Cheerss..

Hey The Poker, how are you?
Due to the huge demand we got for more recording we have decided to release some unofficial recordings. Unlike the rest of our recordings, these demos were not recorded professionally – those tracks are just us playing together in one room, running some new ideas for songs. The tracks you are about to here are one-takes which mean that no overdubs were done at all!
The first one of those demos to be released is entitled: Your Best Is Not Enough {Lea}. This tune talks about realizing that sometimes even if you had done everything that you could have; it would simply not be enough.
Usually all of our lyrics and melodies are written by Gabe, this tune was written and compose by me.
