| General | Books, writing, of course politics, old movies, off beat TV shows, and pears. (Seriously, who doesn't like pears?) Working out whether it be biking or lifting weights is a big hobby of mine. Animals and old people like me a lot. It must be the beacon I carry in my pocket. | | Music | The Allman Brothers Band, Neil Young, Black Label Society, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Muddy Waters, Miles Davis, Canned Heat, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Howlin' Wolf and many more. | | Movies | The Big Lebowski, The Godfather trilogy, Clerks, Citizen Kane, Bowling for Columbine, Pulp Fiction, almost any political documentary, and I can watch TCM all the time. I grew up on the Marx Brothers and Laurel and Hardy too. | | Television | House, I am a Law and Order junkie. I watch all three shows. C-SPAN, Frontline on PBS, the occassional Nova and American Masters episode, Monk, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and the dearly departed Arrested Development. I have a soft spot for Jack Benny and Burns and Allen re-runs too. I am a 34 year old political columnist/editor at a quickly growing website. I plan on using this space to hang out and discuss politics and current events. Oh, and maybe the occasional NHL commentary will make it in here too. I like to read, write, workout, and watch my share of sports. Over the summer I have become a big fan of the F/X show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I tend to like documentaries and old movies. I am a sucker for my local drive in theater. I am a huge Allman Brothers Band fan, but I tend to play and enjoy the blues. All in all I am a your average nice guy politics writer. I don't think my personal life is nearly entertaining enough to write about so 90% of the time I'll just stick to politics, or whatever is on my mind.
