La subversion et la corrosion d’objets de la culture pop guident leurs expériences audios étonnantes. .. Les performances sont créées à partir de consoles de jeux vidéo portatives, d’objets électroménagers contrôlés par ordinateur, de jouets électriques, de vinyles détruits, d’une poupée qui joue de la batterie, d’un compresseur à air, de cartes de Noël musicales, d’une télévision utilisée comme synthétiseur et d’autres objets de la culture populaire. .. Le public est souvent amené à participer aux performances. .. Les membres de Popcore proviennent des champs disciplinaires de l'art audio, de l'art vidéo, de l'art multimédia, de l'art robotique, de la musique électronique, de l'électroacoustique et de la performance. .. Une série de performances se succèdent rapidement. Elles s’achèvent par une improvisation. Un(e) MC excentrique anime cette mixture intense, corrosive et joyeusement subversive. .. .. .. .. ..Popcore presents multidisciplinary performances that have an aesthetic of subversion issued from the transformation of popculture icons. Popcore is based on the originality of presentation formats and mediums, and by the interactivity between these mediums and participating artists. Popcore can also be considered as a collective and is composed of artists and professionals from such domains as audio, video and new media art, robotics, electronic arts, electroaccoustics and performance art... ....The event showcases each artist individually and is followed by a 'jam session' with all the crew. The show has a performer MC, that dynamically presents artists and their performances.Popcore performances involves new artistic practices such as live music created with portable videogames, domotic performances with domestic objects controlled with computers, use of electric toys and circuit bending, destruction and transformation of 'outdated' mediums, the use of old TV's as synthesisers and drummer robots... Popcore wants to encourage presentation of new media art and new forms of creating sounds and videos. ...... .. .. .. .. .. Popcore Duo , Steim on MS Stubnitz, 2008 ........ Popcore Duo presents an audio-visual performance inspired by the deconstruction of the body-robot. The performers deploy a heavy, brutal and medical atmosphere by generating audio-visual material by manipulating dolls. They use custom software and operate a dialogue between the two machines.
