In May of 2008, Flash Grenade decided to go on hiatus after FOUR awesome years of rockin'. The reasons for this; their bass player/friend/brother was leaving for Japan and China on scholarships until June 2009 on exclusive scholarships from the University of Delaware. The remaining two of the trio, Matt and Josh, were going to keep being called Flash Grenade and continue teaching the newbie second-guitarist, Dave, about 40 old originals and a dozen of their finer covers. That's a high order for anybody. But then, we needed another bass player to fill Chris's shoes, and since trying to teach all that material to TWO new people can be frustrating, we decided to change our name to THE POP SENSATION and start learning new songs altogether. It's like Flash Grenade side-project v.2.0. Flash Grenade may be returning in the summer of 2009.
We will be practicing our little hearts out over the summer to create new material influenced by bands like the Methadones, Alkaline Trio, MXPX, the Copyrights, Bouncing Souls. Debut release out now...
Why would the pop sensation not be alive? Well anyways I was on my way home the other day and my ipod started playing don't make me leave you and it was euphoric! Lol great song, great really awesome job everyone!
Heyy guys ! you did great saturday night ! I am going to try and make it to your next show but i think im grounded . If i dont get to see it i will deff be at the Dec. 19 show (the day before my birthday!) :))
