Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, CSN&Y, Neil Young, old blues - but in the end, those Porch Pistols are very original.
Called 'Improvised Acoustic Americana' -- since ALL the music is written through improvisation and then left that way. We learn the songs we write in this way and then play them true to their original form at shows.
Begun by Tommy Chaffee and CJ Torrise, The Porch Pistols have added a new 'Pistol', Bass Player Patrick McFadden, a veteran of the East Coast US. we're still seeking a steady drummer but we're joined by various pros for shows until then.
Now that there's a rhythm section, The Porch Pistols trademark sound includes acoustic-electric guitars, harmonicas, bluesy vocals, electric bass & drums --- and the channeled spirit of the hillbilly shaman.

WHAT: American Cancer Society's Relay for Life(of Toms River) WHEN: THIS Saturday May 30th(Porch Pistols play at 5PM - event goes 24 hours) WHERE: on the lawn at the Ritacco Center 1245 Old Freehold Rd, Toms River, NJ 08753 (next to Toms River High School North at Bay Ave).
The Porch Pistols go on around 5PM and we'll play a nice long set for you - pick up a copy of It's Time the newest (and third CD/album) by The Porch Pistols released this week!
