Sheila Smyth and Adele Ingram-Magee hail from Lisburn and Killyleagh, they met just over 10 years ago and played only occasionally together as they were both involved in other projects. It is only the last 2 years that they have combined their talents to form The Preacher and Mrs Magee. They have strong vocal harmonies and are both competent guitarists. They play original material and beautifully arranged folk songs and instrumentals.
Individually Sheila and Adele have played in America, Africa, France and more recently together in Greece. They are well-known in Northern Ireland and love playing in their favourite venues at home.
