Sounds Like
Some girl stumbled out of a homeless town with no singing lessons but attempted to be big.
The Prefect People was started by Genae when she decided she wanted to get off her Harry Potter loving arse, take her passion of singing, and make it into something big. She wanted to be famous - wanted to be like Alex Carpenter, and get swooned over for her fantastic music. Yeah, that wasn't going to happen. Not at all. Especially not when she had any instrumental talents - whatsoever. Though she'd been singing since she was four, instruments just weren't her thing. What made it more difficult, was none of her friends loved Harry Potter! *Gasp, right!?* But the ones that did, well, they didn't have much musical talent.
Thus, a solo act was born. The Prefect People, despite its name, contained but one lonely girl; trying to pass her lyrics and love for Harry out to the world. With the help of some other Wrockers (DJ Accio, specifically), her band blossomed and gained new heights. Something she'd dreamed about ever since discovering Wizard Rock two and a half years ago. For this, she thanks God, and is most thankful.
Genae discovered Harry Potter, by first reading 'The Prisoner of Azkaban' in her third grade year. Always been her favorite book, as well as her favorite movie. After finally reading the whole series, buying each book as they came out, she knew she was head over heels for the series. Reading it book at least fifteen times, and watching each movie at least forty-two. Her favorite character always and forever will be Remus John Lupin, whom most of her songs conveniantly will be based off of. Hence the term 'prefects.' For all those that didn't know that Remus was one. x] Roleplaying as the young lycanthrope, her love broadened, and she declared herself a Hufflepuff. With memorabilia and Wrock c.d.'s coming out her ears.
Now she's here. A simple sixteen year old who wants to continue the dream. The Prefect People is doing that for her. Her lyrics are her own thoughts, and her melodies have no specific 'flair.' Though, she wishes she was as good as The Moaning Myrtles. Then she'd be getting some credit. =]

Genae, Weezard doesn't really have any type of merch or things. If we were in the area, we would definitely play a benefit concert. We'll be cheering you on from our home in San Francisco.
hey, i'm so sorry it's taken me a bit to get back to you! unfortunately, i don't really have any albums or anything for sale, sadly, i am a merch-less band. i am sorry that i don't have anything to contribute to your fundraiser : ( but i do wish you the very best of luck <3
Hey, I haven't been online in awhile, sorry. I don't really have any merch for sale, per say, but I could send you some mp3s... I've mainly just gifted out my music thus far since it's not particularly decent recording quality. If you'd like I could put together an "exclusive" CD for the auction with a bunch of songs... let me know, and let me know where to send it! :) Christie
Hi, Sorry we didn't get back to you before. This auction sounds like a great event for a great cause, but we really don't have any sort of merchandise to donate. If there is some other way we could help, please let us know.
Hi, Sorry we didn't reply before. We haven't been on myspace for a while and by the time we read your message we thought we were too late. The T-Shirts we sell at gigs are homemade so I'm not sure if you'd want them? hahah. 3 say 'I Love Books' and 2 say 'Harry Turtle'. They're yours if they'd be any use - if not sorry we don't have anything better to offer. x
Sounds like you've got a great event planned (any event with Wizard Rock is great!) but I'm afraid I can't help. My band isn't far enough along to actually have any merchandise, and I've had to postpone the development of my first CD. I wish you the best of luck though, and hope you have a lot of fun!
Thanks for your comment, and thanks for asking us to help, we're honoured. Unfortunately, we have no merchandise yet, no tshirts or badges or anything :( I hope you'll be able to gather a lot of money to support the LGBT!
