THE PRIORY are a four piece band from Wolverhampton that mix electronica and indie rock to create a dark brooding impressive racket full of both menace and addictive hooks.Described by thier management as sounding 'like an young,angry Micheal Stipe fronting a Joy Division that have spent the weekend in Coventry with The Specials'.
A gang as much as a band they have risen out out of the industrial wasteland that is their 'black country' hometown and much like other English industrial cities (Sheffield,Manchester,Leeds)this back has much influenced the music THE PRIORY make,lending it a decisively industrial feel -distorting,beating and teasing computer loops and inanimate metal objects alike into electronic noise to produce unmisstakeable and contagious music that is the backdrop for their songs.
