Finally! The Professors New Album "Destination: Moon" is available for sale over at iTunes.
The Professors are proud to finally announce the
release of their first full length album,
"Destination: Moon". Containing 11 original tracks,
this album contains fresh recordings of the songs on
the previously released "Aim Low EP" plus 6 brand
spankin' new Professors tunes. It is a disc that is
linked to the past, but with a foot in the new
century.
Not content to just be another surf band, Destination:
Moon finds The Professors pushing the envelope of
traditional surf music. There are a wide variety of
styles here. In addition to straight up surf tunes,
you can find elements '60s bossa nova, rockabilly,
spaghetti westerns, reggae, and classic rock. It's as
if you took The Ventures, Henry Mancini, Brian Setzer,
Ennio Morricone, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and
Radiohead; threw them into a blender, and pushed all
the buttons down at the same time without the lid on.
