Sounds Like
Sounds like authentic straight-ahead power-trio rockabilly.
The band was born when Bruno and Tommy merged their honky tonk and rock roots into their own brand of rockabilly, and Bob signed on as drummer.
We play the Buddy Holly Center's Birthday shows and Summer Showcase, local clubs and restaurants, parties and the occasional political event.
Tommy and Bruno have been playing together since the mid eighties in a band then called the Strange Attractors. Later they formed The Prophets of Rock, and then The Honky Tonk Lounge. Tommy's background can be traced to the little plastic Arvin radio on the kitchen table of the trailer he grew up in in San Antonio. Bruno, from McLean, VA, has a more illustrious background as the original bassist for Sha Na Na, from 1969 to 1973. Bob hails from New Mexico and played with 52 Pickup and other bands in and around Lubbock.
