Born in Stockton, California January 18, 1977 to a single mother of two, my family said that I was an odd little character. At the tender age of four, I was the one trying to teach myself to read the newspaper by trying to make up a story just by looking at the pictures.
Well twenty-six years later and after receiving my diplomas in Journalism with a minor in Performing Arts from California State University, Sacramento I set out on my own to become a novelist as I love genre fiction, particularly Westerns from a Black American's perspective and have published my first novel Ataska while living in San Francisco at the time. All the while, my uncle taught me music theory on his baby grand piano and said to me to keep practicing on my guitar. So now it appears that I have approximately 15 years of music experience and creative writing as well as painting abstracts. As of now, I am currently in New York playing shows all around the city and meeting lots of new friends along the way. At this point I consider myself semi-professional.
