The Prowlers were born in Rome ( Italy ) during winter 1996. As almost every Band at the beginning of its activity, our Gigs where based on playing Cover Songs. But after about one year of Live Shows all around Italy, we started to write original music.
Each element of our Band participates actively to the writing and arrangement of every song, that's why you will find a large variety of ideas and melodical solutions even inside a single track!
Moreover, thanks to the wide musical background owned by all of us, our songwriting is influenced by different styles, from Hard Rock to NWOBHM, from Power Metal to Progressive.
In 1999 we recorded our first Demo CD.
The quality of this work was low due to a total "home-made" production so, in December 2000, we decided to record a new CD into professional Studios.
It has been titled "A Descent into the Maelstrom", taking inspiration by the E.A. Poe novel, and sent to several Labels, Web-zines and Magazines all around the World. The response have been more than positive and we received some Recording Contract proposals, but we didn't reach any agreement. So, one year later, we recorded another Demo CD titled "Souls Thieves" and sent it only to Labels. After few months we found an agreement with the Italian Label "Northwind Records" and signed our first Recording Contract!
A lot of buzz was created in Italy and the media was very positive about the album.
In the beginning of 2005 we recorded a new Demo CD including 10 new songs. The demo was sent to Intromental Management, who got hooked on to the band and offered us a deal.
The Prowlers new album "Devil's Bridge" has been mixed in the Jailhouse Studio's (Horsens, Danmark) during October 2005, under the guiding eyes of Tommy Hansen (Helloween, Pretty Maids, TNT, Beyond Twilight, etc).
It has been released in July 2006 and received lots of positive reviews from all over the World.

Tommy Hansen has mixed our New Album: "Re-Evolution" including 10 New Songs!
Sound is great and songwriting has changed again in comparison to our first two Albums.
In April 2009 we've signed an agreement with the Greman Label Pure Steel Records for our New Album. The release date is May the 22nd and it will be distributed in Europe, USA and Japan!!
From April the 29th to may the 8th 2009, we have been openers for Manticora and Circle II Circle during their European Tour!!
In July 2009 we took part at the first edition of the Devilstone Open Air Festival in Lithuania with Sepultura as headliners.
In September 2009, after 13 years of activity, the Guitar Player Stefano D’Orazi has leaved the Band and has been replaced by Roberto Franzò.
