This is the story of five musical children with the vision of fame. In July, 2006 Jesse Stringer and Alex Lovat who were just two aspiring guitar players looking for a chance to fit in. Went to Camp Jam Detroit and met for the first time. Both of them were in two seperete bands. Little did they know that soon, they would play an important part in each others musical career. A year later on July 28, 2007, Jesse and Alex would meet again. Only this time they would meet rising star drummer Jon Amoe, Bubba Ayoub, and Adam Giratdo. As fate would happen they were put in a band together. Looking for name they had come up with ideas like Houdini, The Love Drops, and The Rising Sun. then Jon came up with the name The Underground Sun which he had taken the name from a band that his dad had been in during the late 60's. They decided they would play the song "Light My Fire" by The Doors. After Camp Jam they thought the sound of the band was to good to waste and decided to carry on as a music group. After the first practice, Adam quit due to sports related issues. And a few months in Bubba quit due to reasons that don't need to be discussed. So now the three founding members were stuck without a bass player or a keyboard player. It looked like they were finished, but Jon had remembered an old friend named Brandon Roberts. He was amazingly good. Sothey would carry on practices learning songs like "My Generation" and "Hey Joe". But in January of 2008, Jon got a call from a keyboard player named Sean Fershin and he was looking fo a band. As they worked Sean into the band they were preparing for their first gig at a suprise party for Dave Stringer. When the gig came it had turned out great. After that preformence many gigs would follow such as the Algonac Boat Races, Fern Hill Country Club, The Fraser Fair, and the three Token Lounge gigs which are most known by fans. Soon The Underground Sun will be recording a debut album to fans with songs like "Get Up!" written by Jesse and Brandon, "I've Just Seen A Girl" written by Jesse, and the 12 minute epic "Visions Of Your Past" written by Jon and Jesse.
Jesse Stringer-Born in 1995 to a very musical family, he picked up a guitar at 9 years old. Jesse, hugely, influenced by The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and especialy by the late Randy Rhoads. Has met The Doors, Three Dog Night, Derek St. Holmes, Liberty Devito, Drake Bell, Amazing Jonathon, and Steven Tyler. Is an incredible guitarist and an even better vocalist. Jesse adds the heavier and bluesy side to the band.
Jon Amoe-Born also in 1995, Jon was born into a wide variety of music due his father and uncle. Jon picked up his first pair of sticks at the age of two. Jon is a very lyrical drummer and he brings a whole new sound to 60's drumming. Jon was influenced by Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa,John Densmore and Mitch Mitchell, and his style reflects the likes of all of these drummers.Jon was very much inspired to play drums by the sounds of The Beatles, The Doors And Jefferson Airplane. Alex Lovat- Born in 1991, Alex was hugley insiperd by the psychedellic rhythm of Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, and the seventeen minute song "In-Da-Gadda-Da-Vida" by one hit wonders Iron Butterfly. Alex will spit on any band that came out after 1969. Alex offers a incredible rhythm track and even better licks. Alex is the psychedellic part of the band, and is the main inspiration for all of our music.
Sean Fershin - Sean was born in 1996. Sean picked up his first guitar when he was about two and started playing the organ when he was eleven. He is influenced by The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, and Ray Manzarek. Sean is a great keyboard player and is the newest member of The Underground Sun.
Brandon Roberts- Born in 1992, originally influenced by the punk sounds of Blink 182, Green Day, and Linkin Park, until introduced to Led Zeppelin. Then The Music took over. Brandon, now a phenomenal bass player, brings energy, uniqueness, and drive to the band, and makes up the final part of The Underground Sun.
The Band formed in mid 2007, is now going strong.
