    En el año 2006, S.I.C.K The Clown, vocalista y fundador de la banda, decide crear un nuevo concepto musical inspirado en los diversos estilos que lo influenciaron en toda su carrera musical que inició como MC/Rapper en Colombia y marcó tendencia en la escena rockera ecuatoriana en su paso como vocalista y mentalizador de la imagen de una reconocida agrupación capitalina. Luego de diferentes audiciones y cambio de integrantes, OVERFREAK en el bajo y A.SIX en la guitarrista consolidan el proyecto. La combinación de samplers y secuencias con riffs agresivos y voces fuertes y rápidas son los cimientos de lo que hoy por hoy es THE PSYCHOKILLER. El nombre proviene del personaje protagonista del porcentaje mas elevado de películas gore y de terror de la historia de la pantalla grande. Su consagración llego con 'Psicosis' y su confirmación con 'Viernes 13', 'La Noche de Halloween' y 'Pesadilla en Elm Street'. Es el personaje por excelencia de este tipo de cine en los 80 y principios de los 90, lo que supuso el casi total agotamiento de la fórmula. Inspirados en asesinos seriales como Jhon Wayne Gacy y Ed Gain, psychokillers como Michael Myers y Jason Vorhees, clásicos films de terror como 'Psycho', 'IT', 'Friday The 13Th' y 'Halloween'; THE PSYCHOKILLER basa su música y letras en estas influencias, agregando experiencias propias, logrando así un estilo único y completamente 'freak'. Eso fue lo que llamó la atención de la prestigiosa cadena internacional MTV para participar en un reportaje en su programa LA Zona TV. Según la cadena, ésta agrupación, que conjuga diversos estilos como Drum N Bass, Electrónico, Mad Core, Industrial, Rap, Rock Alternativo, Wicked Shit, Progresivo y Metal, es una de las más originales dentro de Latinoamérica y una de las de mayor aceptación dentro del público de MTV, debido a su excelente participación en La Zona.com. El éxito de la banda en ciudades como Cuenca, Guayaquil, Quito y países como Estados Unidos, México, Venezuela y Argentina se consolidó por la fusión exacta de sonidos electrónicos de DJ, el metal con letras provocadoras y su trabajo visual, ya que manejan maquillaje en sus rostros y trajes personalizados para sus originales shows en vivo. Además, THE PSYCHOKILLER es la única banda del Ecuador en ser entrevistados por este canal internacional en los últimos años. Su género puede ser denominado como Wicked Shit / Metal. El Wicked Shit es un género de rap / rock creado por el grupo Insane Clown Posse a inicios de los 90, que basa sus letras y música en temas bizarros, oscuros y de horror. En la actualidad, este estilo lo manejan todos los artistas de su disquera, Psychopathic Records y se caracteriza por llevar siempre maquillaje en sus rostros, identificarse con iconos de terror y atrevidas puestas en escena y liricas que mezclan la ficción con la realidad. En el 2008 sale a la luz su primer material discográfico denominado 'SALÓN DE TORTURAS EP', que incluye los singles IN A COMA y CRYSTAL LAKE. Entre sus principales logros se encuentran colocar sus canciones como cortinas y soundtracks de los principales spots publicitarios de uno de los canales de televisión más importantes del Ecuador, TELEAMAZONAS. En el 2009 la banda logró llegar a 'SONG OF THE WEEK' (Canción de la Semana) en una de las páginas más importantes de su género de Norteamérica: www.faygoluvers.net con CRYSTAL LAKE. Gracias a esto obtuvieron cientos de descargas de su tema en Estados Unidos. Semanas después, fueron invitados al programa de radio de las HATCHET GIRLZ, el grupo de juggalettes (mujeres seguidoras de Insane Clown Posse) más importante del género en el país del norte. Actualmente, THE PSYCHOKILLER promociona su nuevo EP 'SALÓN DE TORTURAS EP (THE FREAK EDITION)', una reedición de su primer material que ha llegado hasta la importante tienda de rock HOT TOPIC de Pennsylvania y que incluye el nuevo promocional GOODNIGHT MY LOVE (I Luv NY). Han participado en importantes conciertos y festivales como el Feedback 2007 y 2008 consecutivamente, La Semana del Rock en Guayaquil, en donde cerraron el cartel de ese día; han compartido escenario con importantes bandas de la escena nacional y se proyectan como una de las bandas insignias de su género ya que son la única agrupación latinoamericana que lo maneja y lo fusiona con el metal. Recientemente fueron incluidos en el CD compilatorio 'CONDUMIO' realizado por Maqueño Republik que presenta 20 agrupaciones representativas de su género a nivel nacional. THE PSYCHOKILLER participa en este material con su canción 'Las Voces Me Dicen'. Reportajes y reseñas en importantes revistas como VISTAZO, LA ONDA, XONA Y SOHO; medios escritos e Internet como diario EL COMERCIO, LA HORA, HOY, SHOWROCK de Argentina BLOG TALK RADIO y FAYGOLUVERS de Estados Unidos; televisivos como MTV, Teleamazonas, TC, ETV TELERAMA, nominados como 'Banda Revelación 2008' en MIS BANDAS NACIONALES hacen parte de su curriculum que va creciendo cada día. The Clown the vocalist and founder of the band THE PSYCHOKILLER decided to create a new musical inspiration concept in the few styles that influenced their whole musical career. Their musical journey began as MC/Rapper in Colombia and marked his tendancy in the scene of ecuadorian rock in his place as a vocalist. After many different auditions and try-outs, only two made the cut: OVERFREAK (bass) and A.SIX (guitar). Together came to form the project. The combination of sampler and sequences of aggressive riffs, strong voices, and rapid movements, are all a part of what came to be known day by day THE PSYCHOKILLER. The name THE PSYCHOKILLER came from the many villains with lead roles of gore movies and the terror of the story. It was influenced from movies like 'Psycho' and the structure of the band came from 'Friday the 13th', 'Night of Halloween', and 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. It's the excellent personification of movies like these from the 80's and at the beginning of the 90's that created most of the formula. The PSYCHOKILLER based its music and lyrics on disturbing things such as inspirational serial killers Jhon Wayne Gacy and Ed Gain along with psychokillers Michael Myers and Jason Vorhees and classic movies like 'IT' and 'Halloween'. Using their own experiences and recording in a completely 'freak' unique style, THE PSYCHOKILLER became what they are known as today. Their unique style is what called its attention to the important channel MTV. Psychopathic Records always characterizes its bands by makeup on the face, identifying terror icons, and showing the terror scenes in place and lyrics, mixing fiction with reality. In 2008 THE PSYCHOKILLER's first material discography came to light, 'SALON DE TORTURAS EP'. Which includes the new hit singles 'IN A COMA' and 'CRYSTAL LAKE'. Between making the principle makings and recordings, THE PSYCHOKILLER found their songs used as soundtracks for principle public spots by TELEAMAZONAS, one of the largest growing channels on TV in Ecuador. In 2009 the band recorded a 'SONG OF THE WEEK' in one of the most important web pages of our generation in North America (www.faygoluvers.net) playing 'CRYSTAL LAKE'. Thanks to their network and downloads, THE PSYCHOKILLER is now known in the United States. The band has a trusting foundation with its fans of 'Psychos' (men) and 'ladykillers' (women), now becoming a national and international novel, gaining new fans for the group everyday. The PSYCHOKILLER actually just recently promoted its new album 'SALON DE TORTURAS EP' (THE FREAK EDITION). It's a re-edition of the first material that has made its way to the well known store HOT TOPIC in Pennsylvania, and includes the new single hit 'GOODNIGHT MY LOVE (I LUV NY)' that was accompanied with a video that will be broadcasted on MTV International. THE PSYCHOKILLER has been participating in important concerts and festivals constantly like: The Feedback 2007 and 2008, La Semana Del Rock of Guayaquil, and they've been seen with important bands at national scenes all through-out South America. THE PSYCHOKILLER are the last Latin American group to exist with their ways of switching up and mixed fusion of metal. Reports and columns all over the world have been written in important, well known, magazines and newspapers like VISTAZO, LA ONDA, XONA Y SOHO; hundreds of reviews were written by EL COMERCIO, LA HORA, HOY, SHOWROCK, of Argentina; BLOG TALK RADIO and FAYGOLUVERS from the United States; tv stations like MTV, TELEAMAZONAS, TC, ETV, TELERAMA, have all nominated THE PSYCHOKILLER as 'The Revolution Band 2008' and MIS BANDAS NACIONALES made them part of their curriculum that has been growing everyday….
