Just imagine The Beatles were formed in New York in 1977...
well - imagine no longer.........
The Punkles are still glad The Ramones chose "California Sun" instead of "Love Me Do" as a cover version way back then. So in fact Hamburg St. Paulis "Fast Four" were the first to play Beatles songs in a 1977 Punk-Rock style.
After meeting their -meanwhile notorious- manager Malcolm McEpstein, they recorded their first album the same year they met-in 1998, and force screaming crowds to Twist & Pogo ever since - even at the famous "Cavern Club" in Liverpool where they played two raving shows in 1999.
In May 2002 The Punkles released their 2nd Album entitled "Punk!
Shortly after the release of that album Dee Dee Harrison decided to quit playing guitar and opend two rowing training centers in Pakistan. He is very happy there teaching people how to row and play Mikado.
"Punk!" not only was highly successful in Europe, but it made a smashing impact in Japan - which means it sold a shitload there.
Meanwhile The Fast Four proved they could do even better than that and so their next album - a Best Of compilation for the nippon market entitled
"The Punkles 1998 - 2003" (also known as the "Red Album") entered the japanese top 50 album charts. Also their debut album was re-released under the name "Beat The Punkles! featuring their famous "Drive My Car Video and some bonus Tracks and another Best Of compilation was released exclusively for the french market.
Well The Punkles up to this point were more a band for fans and not for record critics This changed with their next release, the "Revolver inspired "Pistol", which received outrageous reviews all around the world and again entered the japanese charts.
It also got the band invited for their first full tour of England, and as you may have guessed the crowds loved them and asked them to come back as soon as possible - which The Punkles did in the beginning of 2005.
After that very successful tour of continental Europe and England the band again had to find a new lead guitar player. Captain OHarrison went for a sightseeing trip around London during their UK visit and had dissapeared ever since. One last eye witness saw him at a London airport but couldt remember the destination of the flight he went on. Luckily The Fast Four found Rat Harrison back in their hometown of Hamburg and so the story gladly continued. The Punkles released their final album "Punkles For Sale" in Japan and Europe in 2006.
The last Punkles album "Punkles For Sale" The First self titled album and the second album "Punk!" Re-issue of the first album and the third effort "pIsT0L A japanese and a french "Best Of" CD
"PISTOL" , "1998-2003" AND "FOR SALE" ARE ALL AVAILABLE AGAIN ON JAPAN..S VERY OWN IMPERIAL RECORDS AS RE-ISSUES WITH BONUS TRACKS !!

, The band Gaucho Gastric Juice was formed in 1981 at the beginning of Brazilian punk, an era of revolt in which the cries were suppressed by kicks from the abuses of the military dictatorship. After 27 years, the band continues with their unique influences and not given to bring the screams anarchic rebellion and all the capitalist system, political and bourgeois society that has learned to live as a way to get used to the hypocrisy of today. Hearing the sound of it, I realized how much still needs to be anarchy with the times we live in, most forgot to say that what we feel, scream and not leave behind the will to express themselves and suffocated many revolts, even today, a time free of oppressors and batons. I could not compare the crowd of Gastric Juice with other bands of the punk scene, "Freedom for the Nation," music that is here in our player was selected to show what is punk, the attitude on vocals, drums rage, words without fear , distorted guitars in the old pedal boss distorcion "tune in semitones and marking of the bass doing our heads swaying in different directions of the moral pitfalls, take a drunk or not, to play and if he did not know, I give you" juice Stomach. Monkee Platez next offering is the 'Fulltilt EP' from Glasgow outfit Mr Hajika. Streetdate 14th November 4 slabs of groove driven tech house...
Fulltilt original is a chugging, bass heavy track with a subtle musicality that develops throughout. Dr. Bergers remix is a stripped down deeper edit, with an infectious flow that maintains the essence of the original. Similarly to Dr. Berger, Alex Fiction strips back the layers to uncover an electronic soul which builds into an intelligently emotive interpretation, if slightly twisted. Completing the package is 'Nitemoves' which shares the big sound of Fulltilt, but with a more progressive, melodic vibe."
