About me:
Run 2 Inspire is the first organization in the Pittsburgh area to help raise awareness for cervical cancer and was started in October 2007. The Founder, Priscilla Bordogna, started this organization one year after her best friend was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She wanted to give back not only to her friend but to her community. In the process of planning a benefit to raise this awareness and funds for Magee-Womens Foundation, Run 2 Inspire was born.
WHO IS THE FOUNDER?
Priscilla Bordogna is the Founder and Event Coordinator for Run 2 Inspire. At the age of 23, Ms. Bordogna wanted to be able to give back to her community and the women who live in it, diagnosed with cervical cancer. Ms. Bordogna partnered up with Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation to raise funds and give to the foundation to help these women.
Her goal with this organization is to educate young women & men about the affects cervical cancer can have on a women's emotional & physical health. The affects cervical cancer can have on a women's social, work, & personal life. The affects and risks cervical cancer can have on women who are diagnosed with this disease.
By educating these young women & men, there will be one less women in the Pittsburgh area that will be diagnosed with cervical cancer at a young age.
