"The Purple Streams swept to victory beating off competition of a very high standard with an absolutely stonking performance. It was a great night which everyone enjoyed" Flicky Harrison, Entertainments correspondent for swindon's local newspaper.
"Absolutely fantastic mix of original and well chosen covers. Great performance and the first encore of the day! The futures bright, the futures purple!" Sean Collier-Jefferies, Chiseldon Festival On The Green
"I first came across The Purple Streams when they entered our band
competition. I was slightly nervous as they were very young and in my
head thought they would come across as an average school band...but how
wrong I was! Ben, Jo, Rupe and Theo wanted to be taken seriously as
musicians and competed with much older and more established bands on the
night. They went down a storm and their music is up to date with
undertones of The Jam, Hendrix and even Arctic Monkeys. I would have no
hesitation in recommending them for gigs, they are completely
professional, have a great fan base and THEY ARE FANTASTIC!" Rachel
Addis GWR FM.
Night and day, week to week the sky is grey, you hardly see anyone on the streets. Its time to slow down. Come and meditate with me for a while and listen to a sad, sad song from the north.
