About me:
The Push started a few years ago as a monthly night in the Basement club of Scubar, Manchester and was Promoted By Chris K and Adam O'bern, who were also the priliminary residents. DJ Wixxy guested as the headline for the first event and as the months rolled on there were headlines such as Ryback & Kane, 2 Tecnique and Urbanher0.
(who also goes by the name AKA Yours Truly). After a while, DJ Wixxy took over Adam's role as promoter and resident and The Push moved to The Phoenix early 2006, where it really took off in a big way! After just the first event at The Phoenix, The Push picked up a strong crowd who were gagging for more. Guests included; Fubar, Alien Radio and Ryback & Kane, with Moonshines resident - Kitt incharge of the warm up bar. The March night was a huge success - packing out the main room at the Phoenix, also with a great line up. This included ID, who was there promoting his new single: Rite of passage on FAT! Records. Also, The Push saw the return of much loved Jimmy P - A.K.A Yours Truly, who was made an official resident
alongside Chris K and Wixxy. Unfortunately due to change of managment at The Phoenix, The Push was left without a venue for the April event and along with the departure of Wixxy to Corfu, the night unfortunately came to rest. Until The Push made it's return at the phoenix for a one off special in March 2007. We had a mix of some of the best loved previous headline DJs along with The Push residents! Playing nothing but the fattest breakbeat and electro over TWO FLOORS! Now The Push enters a new chapter in it's 3rd year, going head to head against one of Manchester's longest running Breaks nights FUBAR. This took place in May 2008 in the Breaks room at Manchester's massive new club night Naughty Panda! In June The Push resident Chris K lands a monthly slot at Naughty Panda which is now @ Area 51.......see you there!
