"The Q is a non-profit coffee shop that really puts a focus on being a contributor to the community. In addition to serving direct trade coffees and teas, the cafe donates 10% of all sales to local and global causes. They also support area artists and musicians through regular exhibitions and live shows, host many community events, and help collect resources for the homeless as well. Overall, its an innovative way of using “cafe culture” to do something significant; we definitely recommend you check it out" -MagorityMag.com
Since its inception from 2002, Q Cafe is making its mark. In addition to write-ups in the Seattle Weekly and the Seattle Times, it was also named one of the best independent cafes in the country by Worthwhile Magazine. With its 238 capacity, it has hosted countless local musicians such as Tiny Vipers, Hoquiam, and many more, in addition to national musicians such as Nickelcreek, Tyrone Wells, Chris Tomlin, Ingrid Michaelson, Smoosh, and others. Every month, local artists adorn the walls with their expressions. Hundreds of homeless men and women have been helped through resources collected through the cafe. Two families were given an opportunity to be placed into permanent housing. Large amounts of money has been raised for causes like the Tsunami Fund, AIDS, Invisible Children, Mercy Corps, etc. The space is used by local businesses, neighborhood groups, churches, other non-profits, moms' group, and rented for all purposes - even weddings. Q Cafe is growing into a community presence...

"Friends of quiet music should already know about the Q Cafe, an all-ages venue that, for its size, hosts some of the most polite, reverent audiences in Seattle. In fact, it might just be the best place to hear all of those gorgeous folk bands who've been cropping up like dandelions in the Northwest as of late" -Sara Brickner Oct. 08', Seattle Weekly
