The Quiet City is undergoing a massive style revision, aiming to no longer play music to please all crowds but to play music that intensifies their every aspect of feeling. Their goal is to compose and express songs that make them feel more alive in hopes that the listener may experience that same liveliness.
We are writing new material, soon to be recorded. Once it is finished it will completely replace the songs that are currently up. This means if you like the songs that are on our page right now, download them now before they are gone...because The Quiet City is in the proccess of an utter reformation and they will soon be completely renewed in material and in concept, and they will take nothing of the old quiet city with them.
If you want to know what direction we are heading with this style revision...we are taking on a more hardcore approach without being completely hardcore, and our influences have broadened over a vast array of genres. So basically, we're gonna make it hard for you to tac a definite genre name onto our sound. There will still be plenty of singing and clean vocals, but also plenty more chaos and ugly vocals :) And in terms of instrumentation, if you were able to play your guitar along to the old stuff, youre not going to be able to play your guitar along to the new stuff anymore (or not very easily anyway).
