In the misty hills of the Blackall Range, in the back of a motorcycle workshop, there was a man and his guitar penning songs of love gained, love lost, and the mysterious and sometimes cruel irony of life's journey. The man's name is Kelly Cork, Guitarist, Singer, Songwriter, Mechanical Engineer, third generation Malenyite. When the time was right he recruited his old mates Ashley Wolf (Wolfie) on Bass and Ian Belcher on drums and The Rain was born. The boys went straight in to the studio where they spent the next 18 months refining their sound.
Their debut album released in 2005 has been well received, gaining airplay on ABC and community radio.
The Rain have been appearing at Festivals and venues around Australia, including the Gympie Country Music Muster and Tamworth Country Music Festival.
