BIOGRAPHY
After years of playing in pop/rock/metals, singersongwriters Ries de Wit, Armand Wijskamp and Hans van Binsbergen decided to approach their music from a complete diffent perpspective. Not blowing away the audience with a massive sound, but by putting the song first using minimal instrumentation. The Rain Poets write melancholic songs and colorize these songs with harmnony vocals, guitars, keyboards, percussion and home recorded sound effects.
Armand and Ries started the band in 2000. After the recording of Soundtrack in 2005 they performed live in all kind of line-ups. This resulted in the indie-like XL which has been recorded in 2007. After having done all that, it became clear that the "less is more" approach works best for the songs of The Rain Poets. At that point Ries and Armand deciced to extend the core of the band with Hans.

Apart from being one of those comments you rightfully hate with all your divine powers this also happens to be...well, my stupid attempt to leave a trace in your frontal lobe that'll last more than 10 seconds. I don't believe it'll work, but I believe in unbelivable things.
The album. Download it. Either on iTunes or for free (on my page). Let it breathe on your playlist for a while. Let it grace your chips, wires, ears. It'll make your aura shine. Then again, maybe you don't like presents. Which is perfectly fine.
