The Rainy Thursdays is a rock band originally formed in Chicago, IL, & has relocated to Austin, TX. Formed in the summer of 2004 by guitarist and songwriter Erik Andrew, The Rainy Thursdays combine influences of alternative rock, post punk, new-wave, synth-pop, and goth rock. Raquel came to Chicago in 2003 from Texas to take advantage of musical opportunities in the Windy City. Erik & Raquel shared songwriting and lyrics, and Raquel adds moody female vocals to atmospheric guitars and synth sounds. Lyrics are based on all too familiar life experiences and feelings from love to heartache.... from hope to hopelessness. An EP has been recorded, with 4 tracks on here.
*NEWS* - Raquel is finally working on the neglected album she's been meaning to do for a few years... as of now, it's just her writing (er, me) lyrics & parts... & will continue to be unless I find someone along the way that wants to be an official member of the "band". I will keep peeps interested on the album progress, & want it finished by the time this year is over... if it kills me. Keep checking blogs for track listing & more details. I can tell you this much: it will overall be rainier. Most importantly, if you're interested in being apart of this project, SEND A MESSAGE HERE!!!
