The Ram and Shackle is a new Fallowfield watering hole with a nice line in scruffy, arty, alcoholic bohemia. It can be found next to the Total garage, on the way to Withington.
You'll find a cosy and vibrant setting, art painted all over the walls, and DJs or live music from 8pm till close every night. Wednesday night is quiz-night after the football.
There are cheap drinks (pints still from £2, double and mixer £2.60). There's free wifi which works most of the time, and we hired the sexiest damn bar staff this side of spearmint rhino (stockport branch).
The restaurant serves generous portions of delicious Italian pizza and pasta, as well as interesting specials, all for ridiculous prices.
£10 for 2 meals and 2 pints!
£12 for 2 meals and a bottle of wine!
