THE RAVAGES PLAY ROCKNROLL. Serrated pop. Drummer Jay Grossen
describes their music as "hi-velocity, transient, and lewd". The
impassioned vocals of Zarrin-Taj grab you somewhere near the southern end of
the pleasure trail, and the band slams it in fast and hard behind her. But
when the music stops you're left with more than a ringing in your ears. The
songs’ biting takes on love, drinking, and life will stay with you
long after the last shot.
The Ravages come from such exotic locations as Ohio, South Dakota, Maine, and New Jersey, but now all live in the wonderful city of Brooklyn, New York. They have a knack for sniffing out the best happy hours around and do their best not to drink too much during or after rehearsal so as not to upset their significant others, all bets are off during the shows, however.
