The Raven Revue formed in the summer of 2008. All of the members met at Belmont University in Nashville while in pursuit of solo careers. Realizing the potential of the 'group effort' has brought these five talented individuals together for what already seems to be an interesting flight.
Bennet Piispannen, the band's newest addition, might seem like an unlikely one. For the past three years he has been playing keys in the infamous Indie/Hardcore project Sophia. After saying goodbye to his former bandmates, he has now joined up with the Revue, bringing some delectable organ sounds as well as an incredible work ethic. In only a short time, he has solidified himself not just as an incredibly versatile musician, but also as a core member of the group.
Chet Jameson has been performing in his group, Softgun, for a year now. He has put down his guitar and picked up the bass for this project. Although new to the bass, his true musicianship makes him appear as an old pro. He is the only member of the band who does not have a dog.
Tom Sharp plays the drums in the Revue. You can catch him and his distinct style guitar playing at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville from time to time. However, just like Chet, Tom has put down his guitar for this project and honed his drumming.
Alec Painter has been living in Nashville for three years. Along with living here, soaking up the culture, and meeting new people he has written some insightful lyrics that will certainly grace the Revue's first record. While 'Sitting in the Nude" the last three years he has also crafted a style of guitar playing that speaks to the legends before his time.
The newest member to move to Nashville, Guy Farmer sings and plays guitar. Farmer had been pursuing a solo career in Florida before moving to the rolling hills of Tennessee.
