ART SCHOOL dijo adios para siempre el día 24 de Abril de 2009 en la sala 12ymedio de Murcia. Después de 13 años de rock, kilómetros, canciones y sonrisas, los chicos dieron las gracias a tod@s sus amig@s y herman@s de la mejor forma posible: ¡CONCIERTAZO!.

Art School es un trío de Power-pop que nace en Murcia a finales de 1995. Juanfra Godoy (guitarra y voz), Jorge Izquierdo (bajo y voz) y Paco Ruiz (batería) debutan en Enero de 1996, momento desde el cual comienzan su increíble e inacabable viaje por España, ejecutando con un demoledor directo su ingeniosa música, una cuya influencia es el Pop británico desde los años sesenta hasta los noventa. Sus influencias son bandas como Beatles, Jam, Kinks, Who, Small faces, Police... Hasta la fecha, Art School ha publicado 3 álbumes y 3 EP singles:
DIC-1996: “EXPOSING THE DRUG MENACE” E.P. 7’ con 4 temas.
NOV-1997: “RIOT POLICE FLY TO SEASIDE” E.P. 7’ Con 4 temas.
JUN-1998: “SOUND GALLERY” L.P. con 15 temas. (los tres para el sello ANIMAL RECORDS de Madrid).
ENE-2001: “THREE CLOSE MATES” L.P. con 10 temas + 1 bonus track (para el sello BIP-BIP Records de Barcelona).
MAY-2001: “ART SCHOOL (Esp) + THE PHOBES (U.S.A.)” E.P. 7’, single de adelanto de la gira “Qué Diablos II” por los EE.UU., celebrada del 10 al 21 de Mayo de 2001, a cargo de BIP-BIP y BEAT-NEAT-O (Philadelphia, U.S.A.).
JUN-2001: Aportan una canción de su 2º LP como banda sonora del Cortometraje “Mi Novia”, de Jorge Izquierdo, película ganadora del premio al film más votado por el público en el Festival NOTODOFILM.COM de cine comprimido, organizado por Canal +.
MAY-2003: "ELEVEN DAYS AT 'T' STREET". L.P. con 12 temas (para el sello barcelonés ROCK ON! records).
Art School se encuentra, por méritos propios, entre los mejores grupos de la escena independiente española, habiendo actuado más de 400 veces en nuestro país, además de hacerlo en Alemania en dos ocasiones y en los EEUU de América (junto al grupo norteamericano THE PHOBES). Art School is a Power-pop trio born in Murcia (south-east Spain) in the endings of 1995. Juanfra Godoy (guitar & vocals), Jorge Izquierdo (bass & vocals) and Paco Ruiz (drums) play for the first time in January 1996, and they start their neverending trip 'round Spain, playing with a smashing attitude their genuine music. Their influences raise from british pop from the 60's till the 90's; Bands like Beatles, Jam, Kinks, Who, Small faces, Police... Art School have released 3 Lp's and 3 EP's:

JUN-2001: They give a song for the O.S.T. of the short film “Mi Novia”, by Jorge Izquierdo, awarded with the "best film (audience prize)" in the Festival NOTODOFILMFEST, arranged by Canal +.
MAY-2003: "ELEVEN DAYS AT 'T' STREET". L.P. 12 tracks (for ROCK ON! records - Barcelona).
Art School has proved by far they have a placve in the hall of fame of the best spanish independent rock bands, playing more than 400 gigs in Spain, and travelling to Germany twice and to the U.S.A. (with the "qué diablos" band THE PHOBES). Last friday, April 24th, ART SCHOOL said goodbye forever at 12ymedio in Murcia. It's been a 13 years trip we will never forget. See you in Hell!
