"After last night's show at New World, I want St. Petersburg's Petrograd In Transit to be my personal theme band. Epic and sweeping, every daily activity--no matter how mundane--would be life affirming with Petrograd behind me. I could solve life's mysterious while walking the dog, mature beyond my years washing dishes, and remember where I left my wallet that one summer in 1996. Powerful shit. Influenced by Explosions in the Sky and (a personal favorite) electronic shoe gaze impressario, Ulrich Schnauss, its amazing to believe this was Petrograd's first gig, especially when you consider the genre calls for tight cues. Twenty minutes became way too short of a set. Welcome to the scene, boys."-REAX
"It’s been a slow year for new styles and new bands making an impact. But here we have a fresh, original St. Pete band with a big, sprawling sound. Petrograd in Transit is beauty in motion." -Tampa Bay Times
"The night began with a new band straight out of St. Pete, Petrograd in Transit. Post-rock is generally rare in Florida, so Petrograd is a welcome addition to the Bay Area’s scene. Sounding like Explosions in the Sky with an electronic edge, Petrograd in Transit played their set as though they were seasoned veterans. I was actually surprised to learn that it was their first show. Kudos!"-Reax
"An intoxicating concoction: The band's strictly instrumental style has ever-changing moods with arrangements that go from lush to sparse and back again. New wave-style keyboards get mighty reinforcements by solid and varied rhythms and tight guitar interplay."-St. Pete Times

"An awesome debut-ep! A mix between This Will Destroy You and Sigur Rós. Very beautiful!" 6th Top Album of the Year.-The Sound Magazine
Cool, glad you liked it. Kilborough, a precursor to Ars Phoenix, played the Ybor/Tampa area a few times, but that was ages ago. I'm trying to get back there soon with Ars Phoenix, though! Always enjoyed playing there. We'd be very interested with hooking up with PIT for show sometime, so keep in touch.
You guys were like a well oiled machine last nite. Except you didn't actually oil yourselves up, which--no offense--may have been gross and would ulitmately divert attention from your fine musicianship.
ur song out of this place touches me in the deepest of places. so beautiful, and warming. thanks for all of the imagination u guys put into creatimg such a great piece of work.
noooooo, i wish. i haven't gotten them printed yet because i'm having trouble getting the images to the right resolutions and whatnot. maybe in time for your next big show :)
I didn't even set that shit up, douchebags. One of y'all did. I'm changing it right now, and frankly you'll be lucky if i even leave Petrograd in the top friends. hahahaa
