The Detriments was a 6 (at one point 7) piece ska-punk-oi band created in 1996 in the roaring hills of Adams and Cheshire Massachusetts. Founded by lead singer Colin Moran, drummer/guitarist Al Taylor and drummer/trombone player Dave Marko, the band started off as something fun to do during high school. The Detriments were soon giging on a regular basis with notable bands in the ska/punk genre. Known for their live performances, the Detriments motto was "come for the music, stay for the mayhem". The Detriments poured their frustrations into their music which ranged from issues such as ex-girlfriends, run-in's with the local law enforcement, and teenage masturbation.
