  • Bio

These twelve songs boil away the bullshit and leave behind a lean specimen of ugly, unkempt, terminally catchy punk rock that reeks like a corpse and grins like a skull. There’s nothing remotely hip or ass-kissing about Holley 750 or their record Prison Rules…Be glad” Jason Heller, Westword Magazine That about says it all. This ain’t a joke and we’re not out to make friends. We play this music cuz we have to. It’s stuck inside us and will kill us if we don’t let it out. Holley 750 is everything you’re too fuckin’ scared to say out loud. We’re the hit man who’ll do the job for cheap. We’re the first one to throw a punch and the last one to go down… And we’re a nice bunch of guys. Kinda… We’ve toured with the Supersuckers, opened for Nashville Pussy, Valient Thorr, Throw Rag, Keppy Ghoulie, Agent Orange and D.I. We’ve toured the west coast and regionally for the last two years. We currently have 3 releases out on Zodiac Killer Records- The Death Machine EP, The Prison Rules LP, and a split South Carolina’s Antiseen. Our live show is LOUD. We don’t play our music any other way. If it’s 20 people or a sold out show you won’t forget who’s responsible for the pain in your ears, the Hate in your heart, and the shit eatin’ rockandroll grin on your face. THE LAST GREAT PUNK ROCK BAND. ...... Holley 750: Death Machine: CDEP The band's name comes from a famed carburetor and they self-describe themselves as "trucker punk". This six-song EP reminds me of a slower Limecell or Cocknoose, and it's hard not to raise a hairy fist in the air as the songs plod on. Jamie Desoto's growly vocals are notably expressive and there's a dedicated "we mean it" vibe to it all that rises to the surface on every track. The song title "Guns and/or Knives" might be tongue-in-cheek, but the seedy lyrics are seriously awesome. -Art Ettinger (Razorcake 53)............................ according to http://77rocks.wordpress.com/page/2/ which is the only review of us. heres what he thought!. They used to plug themselves as “the loudest band in Denver” on their MySpace page but nowadays Holley 750 consider themselves to be “the most hated band in Denver”. Perhaps they’re hated because of the loudness? Perhaps by the people living next door to the rehearsal studio? We may never know the answer to this question…and we don’t really care. Holley 750 aren’t a bad band, judging by the tunes on their MySpace page, but they do need some work if they want to be taken seriously. The music is pretty well executed (though a bit generic) but the vocals do leave a lot to be desired. There is no need to scream (growl) from start to finish of every single song, is there? Maybe they should seriously consider taking on a new vocalist, as it could really help to push these guys to the next level. But perhaps they’re happy where they’re at. I don’t know…. I’ve yet to see this band live so I can’t judge that aspect but I could tell you that if you like bands such as Zeke (which seems to be their main influence) then you might have some use for Holley 750.
