JACKAL started out halfway the eighties when members of STRUCK and STAINLESS joined forces. Formed in 1985 by Terry Pechler and his brother Stephan Pechler(both from STRUCK). John Bouman, Rick Waalewijn (both from STAINLESS) and Erwin Siereveld joined the band. In 1989 the band recorded the CD "Cry of the Jackal" which got good reviews in the metal magazines like "AARDSCHOK", had airplay at Vara's Vuurwerk + Radio Octaaf and was well received in Germany. Jackal toured the Dutch club scene with bands like Vexation, Angus, Hot Legs, Baby's Breath, Chalice and their songs where frequently heard on the radio. After some line-up changes and for different reasons the band decided to quit in 1992. In Januari 2007 original members John and Rick started the band again. New band members were found, rehearsals started and we are now in the process of recording a new album. And of cours we love to play gigs! Jackal is hoping to see you all soon....
