.. ....I first listened to Jungle back in '95 after listening to dutch-hardcore, rap music, gabba & metal/punk/ska for a some years. I was really impressed and caught up by the sound cause it was completely different from anything I had ever heard before!
Years passed, jungle became drum&bass and the sound got harder, darker and more synthetic! In 1999 I was listening to a recording of an ed rush live set, which included a lot of early virus, bc and hardware tunes. This is when I was infected by the dark/science-fictional/synthetic&hard sound of d&b!
In 2002 I finally started djing (after having dreamed of it for years) because i was really pissed about the way d&b developed! It all sounded happy and trashy to me. I wanted to create my own mixtapes and only play out tunes i could fell and identify with!
In 2004 i founded the realsounds-foundation with dj claritee and dj truespin who both had been good friends of mine for years. We started playing back 2 back sets at several events in braunschweig and bremen and got booked regularly for d&b events in the bs-region for about a year.
In the end of 2006 dj gore (from bielefeld) asked me to play out at a small d&b night he promoted and we noticed about our similar taste in d&b and other music! It was only a matter of time to start a project together! Since june 2007 the realsounds crew no longer exists due to personal reasons and the time for a new project has now come!
