It's not easy being "John". It's harder still being "John Lacey" (although I imagine not as hard as being "John Smith").
When asked what username / url I wanted for myspace, it seemed like a no brainer: johnlacey. Unfortunately some jerk had already taken it (that bastard!). After much deliberation with my good friend Jimmy, we decided the only course of action was therealjohnlacey.
You can check out my webpage too (although at the time of writing there isn't much to check out): JohnLacey.Net
Yes, I'm Australian but don't go to johnlacey.com.au - that's yet another (unrelated) John Lacey. (Trust me, they're everywhere!)
Rise and Fall
The rise and fall of your chest; and all is right with the world. Your mouth, open, kissable, Your being entirely peaceful. All is right with the world.
The Maze of Smoke and Mirrors
I take you through the maze
of smoke and mirrors
It's a long way to my heart
I bet you're wondering if it's worth
Truth is I've never done this before
Forgive me if I'm ill-informed
Feels like I'm in a completely
different world now;
The adornments and the adored.

The world's largest short film competition comes to Sydney! The Sydney segment of the internationally acclaimed 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT will be run from the Blue Mountains as a part of this year's Footbeat Festival. The weekend of 10-12 October promises to be a wild and sleepless weekend for the teams who are challenged to make a movie, to write, shoot and edit it in just 48 hours.
Filmmakers throughout NSW, including Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Lithgow, Bathurst and the Blue Mountains are invited to compete in the world's oldest and largest timed-film competition. The 48HFP takes place annually in over 70 cities around the world competing to win the title of Best 48 Hour Film of 2008.
The 48HFP can help launch a filmmaking career. 'Myles West', last year's winner in Brisbane, went on to win a swag of awards at the international competition in America, competing against the winners from 50 other cities. It was then screened in the Short Film Corner at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. For more information please contact:
