Maggotron/DXJ/Basstech DXJ, et al, have been throwing down the Super Ultra Heavy Intergalactic Electro Funk n' Bass Jams from 1982 to the present day. Maggotron's musical vision and original, unique approach to Electro style music stands on its own while at the same time building upon South Florida's long and rich history of creating music that makes people around the world feel as if they too were in Miami enjoying the tropical sunshine, or dancing in some dimly lit club and steeped in various influences; the music of Maggotron and the entire Miami Bass Mob can be enjoyed on various levels!
Internationally known, Miami Bass, Electro or Street Music has influenced and is the forerunner of Breakbeat, Crunk, Ghetto-Tech and other genres of music. Miami Bass/Electro itself is a hybrid branch of the Hip Hop /Electro Music genre/style, so if that is your musical taste, then your taste is Bass!
Maggotron was the first PURE MIAMI BASS ACT to release an album, and be signed to a Major Label (Atlantic Records). Songs such as Welcome to the Planet of Bass, Return to the Planet Of Bass, Radio Mars, Bass it Baby and countless others bear the unmistakable stamp of the Maggotronic sound. Maggotron's albums have charted on Billboards Black Music Charts, and projects that Maggotron has been involved in are known thruought the world by fans of Miami Style Electro Bass. The Elements of Old School Electro in its purest form were identified and channeled to create a collection of songs heavier than any Element known in the Universe . Maggotron's latest project is loaded with pure TR 808 drum beats, classic keyboards and vocoders of every sort! It will soon be unleashed to the general population. It is up to you, the Electro Funk starved masses of Electro to spread the word, so step away from your PC, crack a window open and shout at the top of your lungs "New Maggotron..." Finally!
