The Real McCoy started their career playing melodic-punkrock as a classic drum-guitar-bass-trio(Michael Regner, Michael Aicher, Franz Singhartinger). They played a lot of unforgettable shows and continually pushed their music and their performance to the next stages.
After three years of playing they found out that a brass section would perfectly fit into their new developed style. Thus, the trobone-player Andreas Lindner and the trumpet-player Martin entered the band. Only about a Year later Anreas Gröbern became a McCoy to play the acoustic guitar.
There style can be described as a thightrope walk along different genres. A little bit of emo and punk mixed with mind-blowing rockbeats based on danceable off-beat ska and reggae sounds.
To their most memorable concerts definitely count the gigs at the SONNENROT FESTIVAL 2007 (feat. Mando Diao, Tocotronic, Jan Delay,…), the NONSTOCK FESTIVAL 2007&2006(feat. Flowing Immo, Emil Bulls), and of course the many many club gigs in renowned live-clubs such as CLUB METROPOLITAIN (Traunstein), ALTE MÄLZEI (Regensburg), BACKSTAGE (Munich), ……..
They have already published three longplayers which were recorded and produced all by themselves. Their new album is coming out on the beginning of 2010...so stay tuned!!
