Produced and arranged by guitar virtuoso Todd Kreuzburg, his debut record, "Heart Shaped Songs" is bound together by simple, straightforward melodies, modern instrumentation, and top-notch production. On the album, Michael K channels all the bands he grew up (Crowded House, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Matthew Sweet) as well as his like-minded peers (Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Adam Duritz). He takes everything they love about rock, and everything they know about pop, and plays it his way.
