Lots of different artists over the years. Some would surprise you. Some you'd be like, "oh, I hear that in his music." Others you would have never heard of, so you wouldn't be able to make a connection either way.
Besides all that, currently Josh Ritter, Bobby Bare Jr., Emiliana Torrini, Andrew Bird, and Ryan Adams are among those in heavy rotation on the ipod.

Some say Gordon Lightfoot. Others are like, "huh?" Still others say James Taylor. But that's just stretching.
Currently working on his first studio album, Paul Koenig is a talented singer/songwriter in the alt-folk tradition, drawing on a range of diverse influences from the giants of 1960's-70's classic pop-rock to the young guns of today's alt-whatever resurgence.
Paul got his first guitar at the age of 12 after an extended begging campaign directed at his parents, and though he'd played a range of instruments before that, the guitar stuck. "It just seemed like a natural that I'd wind up with a guitar, eventually. When I was little I used to sneak into my sister's room and make off with her cheap nylon-string. Despite the potential for painful and emotionally scarring consequences, it was irresistible . . . "
Once he had the guitar in his hands, it just seemed natural to start writing songs. Before he had even the basic first-position chords under his fingers, he had written his first song, "Lonely At The Top". It was truly awful. "I wasn't sure what to write about, so I wrote about what I thought it might feel like to be famous. I thought it would be lonely. I was 12. What were you writing about when you were 12? Hmm?"
