Planet-T is the funky alter ego of jazz pianist Coen van Dam. He got the name when he joined dutch funkband Honky Soul in the mid nineties.
After producing club and trance for Sony Music for a couple of years, he started to combine his producing skills with live performances.
Planet T's music is a groovy chemical mixture of progressive dance, industrial jazz and suburban funk. During live performances, these are accompanied with live keyboards and bass guitar freestyles.
From time to time he plays with a guest musician, like for instance rapper Max P. or the Mexican freejazz saxophone player Remi Alvarez or world famous percussionist Nippy Noya.
The music is very danceable and that's why you can also book a DJ (such as DJ Soul Rabbi) to do the afterparty or warming up show.
In may 2007 Planet-T played three times in Mexico-city at the mondial Ollin Kan festival with Remi Alvarez.
